Festival Ambassadors

Welcome people in.
Build belonging.

Festival Ambassadors are volunteer connectors and welcomers who make Creators for Democracy real on the ground — because they believe civic life is richer when more people feel invited in.

📣

Spread the word

Share the festival with your community authentically, in your own voice, to people who will genuinely care about it.

🤝

Show up

Attend at least one day of the festival (July 1 or 2, starting at 5 PM) and help welcome your community into the space.

🌎

Carry it forward

This is a national civic initiative. Ambassadors can stay involved to help carry the community we are connecting beyond the festival.

Brief orientation required

Complete a 45-minute virtual orientation so you're ready to welcome, guide, and connect people when you arrive.

Quick Answers

About the Ambassador role

Do I need to attend both days?
No — Ambassadors are asked to attend at least one day of the festival (July 1 or July 2, starting at 5 PM at MLK Library). Both days are encouraged but not required.
Is this a paid role?
This is a volunteer role. Ambassadors receive access, recognition, and community — not compensation. The festival itself is free to attend.
Do I need to be a creator?
Not at all. Ambassadors come from all walks of life — the only requirement is that you believe in what we're building and are willing to help others feel welcome.
What happens after I sign up?
We'll email you within a few days with orientation details, a welcome packet, and ways to start spreading the word before July 1.
Can I become an Ambassador if I'm not in DC?
The July 1–2 festival is in Washington, DC, so in-person attendance is part of the Ambassador role. As we expand to ten cities, Ambassador opportunities will open nationwide. Join the Ambassador sign-up →
